COLOMBIA WORKING GROUP 2022 PROGRESS REPORT

Bettercoal has two country working groups – Colombia and South Africa – which are member-driven groups setup to help monitor the actions taken by Bettercoal Producers on their continuous improvement plans, and so that our Members can better understand the country-specific context in which we operate.

The Colombia Working Group, which has been active since 2018, has recently reflected on its activities in 2022 and compiled its year-end progress report. Some of the key activities of the year include a webinar on Responsible Mine Closure and an in-person engagement programme in Colombia, where a delegation of five Bettercoal Members participated in a week-long programme of events, engaging with over sixty stakeholders in 1-1 meetings, multi-stakeholder workshops and a forum.
