PT Bhumi Rantau Energy no longer a Bettercoal Producer

As of the 17th May, PT Bhumi Rantau Energy ceased to be a Bettercoal Producer. After agreeing to the Continuous Improvement Plan (CIP) in December 2018, PT Bhumi Rantau Energy have been unable to demonstrate progress on their CIP. CIP progress is essential to being a recognised Bettercoal Producer and therefore the decision has been taken to dissociate from them.

The Bettercoal Code 2.0 is an internationally recognised Standard for assessing, assuring and sustaining stringent ethical, environmental and social performance in the coal mining supply chain. Being a Bettercoal Producer is an important way in which coal companies can demonstrate their commitment to these issues to key stakeholders.
