BLACK ROYALTY MINERALS KOORNFONTEIN (PTY) LTD SIGNS LETTER OF COMMITMENT

We are pleased to announce that Black Royalty Minerals Koornfontein Proprietary Limited (“BRMK”) has joined the Bettercoal Assessment Process and started its journey towards becoming a Bettercoal Producer by signing our Letter of Commitment. As a result, BRMK has committed to the Bettercoal Code and intends to undergo independent assessment of its mine in South Africa.

BRMK operates the Koornfontein Mine located within Middelburg, Mpumalanga Province which it started mining in 2020.

According to our Assurance System, BRMK will become a ‘Bettercoal Producer’ once the site assessment has been completed and the Continuous Improvement Plan has been agreed. Learn more about our assurance system here.
