Bettercoal welcomes applications from Assessment Bodies to become an Approved Bettercoal Assessor

To support the Bettercoal Assessment Program, Bettercoal now welcomes applications from assessment bodies to become an approved Bettercoal assessor. Only approved assessment bodies are eligible to conduct Bettercoal On-Site Assessments.

To become an approved Bettercoal assessor, assessment bodies must fulfil the requirements of the Bettercoal Assessor Qualification and Selection Guidelines. Bettercoal’s assessor approval process follows the principles of ISEAL’s Code of Good Practice: Assuring Compliance with Social and Environment Standards Version 1.0 (the ISEAL Assurance Code).

Interested assessment bodies may apply by completing the application form. To become an approved assessor for the 2014 Bettercoal Assessment Program, please return the completed application form by 17 March 2014 to info@bettercoal.org.

Bettercoal will publish a list of approved service providers on the Bettercoal website and shall regularly review this list to keep it up to date.

Interested assessment Bodies may apply initially via email or direct any questions to info@bettercoal.org.
