Bettercoal publishes its Annual Report 2018
We are proud to publish the Bettercoal Annual Report 2018, in which we present our progress and achievements in the last year.
It has been a year of continuous improvement, developing Bettercoal from an internal and external perspective, working towards more solid and transparent processes and engaging with a broader number of stakeholders. In words of Bettercoal’s Executive Director, Anne-Claire Howard: “In 2018, my team and I focused on continuing to improve the way we work to deliver value to our members as well as to the mining companies we work with across the globe and deliver on our objective of building a more responsible global coal supply chain.”
For Bettercoal’s Chairman, Nikolaus Valerius, 2018 was his last year in the role. After his three-year term driving the organisation, he is optimistic about the future: “Looking forward, we are confident that we will be able to successfully overcome new challenges while further improving our internal and external work. Bettercoal is pushing to broaden its country coverage as well as its membership – and potentially to spread the concept of continuous improvement to other areas, sectors and regions.”
