ZANRUNIX HIGHVELD COLLIERIES SIGNS LETTER OF COMMITMENT

We are pleased to announce that Zanrunix Highveld Collieries has joined the Bettercoal Assessment Process and started its journey towards becoming a Bettercoal Producer by signing our Letter of Commitment. As a result, they have committed to the Bettercoal Code and intend to undergo independent assessment of their mines in South Africa.

Zanrunix operates one mine in South Africa – the Highveld Collieries located in the Magisterial District of Emalahleni in the Mpumalanga Province. They were founded in 2014 and currently employ about 100 people at their site.

According to our Assurance System, Zanrunix will become a ‘Bettercoal Producer’ once the site assessment has been completed and the Continuous Improvement Plan has been agreed. Learn more about our assurance system here.
