COLOMBIA NATIONAL MINING CONGRESS 2023

Katie Warrick, Bettercoal Executive Director, participated in a panel at the Colombia National Mining Congress 2023 to discuss the topic of mining and energy transition, where she had the opportunity to discuss the importance of mining companies implementing sustainability standards, responsible mine closure, as well as our standard and the work we do in Colombia. 
 
This conversation was elevated through discussions with fellow panellists Pierre Gratton, President and CEO of the Mining Association of Canada, and Brigitte Baptiste, rector of the EAN Universidad and environmental and biodiversity expert. We also want to thank the Asociación Colombiana de Mineria for inviting Bettercoal to participate in such an informative event and bringing together key stakeholders to have conversations about the industry’s contribution to the energy transition.
