Bettercoal Announces Appointment of New Sustainability and Stakeholder Engagement Lead

We are delighted to welcome Samantha Newman to Bettercoal as our new 'Sustainability and Stakeholder Engagement Lead'.

Samantha's work with primarily not-for-profit organisations has been focused on managing communications and social platforms, and developing and organising multi-stakeholder engagement programmes. As a recent Law graduate, following a B.A in Human Geography, Samantha is passionate about sustainability and the importance of engaging stakeholders and communities.

Samantha joins us at an important moment as we look to expand our work in promoting the continuous improvement of sustainability performance in the mining and sourcing of coal for the benefit of all people impacted by the industry, workers and coal mining communities. Samantha will build our engagement programme, strengthen partnerships, and lead on our communications, working with us at Bettercoal towards a global responsible coal supply chain
