Bettercoal Annual General Meeting 2022

On 10 November, Bettercoal held its Annual General Meeting. We want to thank everyone that attended, both in-person and virtually. During the AGM, we reflected on progress in a challenging year. A key milestone was having our independent lead assessors back out on site and completing the first assessment against the new Code 2.0, for which the Continuous Improvement Plan is being developed for the producer and a high-level summary of the site assessment will be available on our website over the next couple of months. This year our Colombia Working Group was able to hold an in-person engagement programme at the end of September, the first since 2018, with a Bettercoal delegation of five members visiting Colombia, holding meetings with a variety of stakeholders and will be sharing reflections on the programme. Bettercoal has made positive progress in its work programme and we look forward to continuing our work towards a global responsible supply chain in the year ahead.
